Usual Great Stay Except for Noisy Person Above Us

Have stayed here several times in past few years while traveling through. It's the best of the 3 hotels that are right along the main street in close proximity to one another. Rooms are big, so are bathrooms (plenty of counterspace, always a plus), beds comfy, and the breakfasts are outstanding. We did have one issue this time: stayed on 2nd floor, place essentially empty, but there was another guest in room above us who made lots of noise from about 9 pm - 11:30 pm. We called front desk to complain, front desk person said they'd call the offending room. We didn't hear a phone ringing upstairs, and noise continued. Besides this excessive noise, the noise from person walking around upstairs was very noticeable - so unlike most Hampton Inns.

Not handicap friendly, very rude staff!

Hilton’s are definitely one of the last places I’d stay at, and here in Owego, there were literally no other options. I will always be a Hyatt girly, and this visit proved my points!! We needed a handicapped room because one of our travel companions had mobility issues, we were given a handicap room near the elevator, but the room had 0 handicapped accessible accommodations inside. We had a bathtub for an elderly person that can’t step up into or out of a bathtub! We called down to get it straightened out and were greeted with nothing but attitude about the situation. They were informed upon booking that we needed an accessible room and that there were mobility issues! After getting moved to an accommodated room with an accessible bathroom with a shower and bar handles for the toilet, we realized the new room had no lamp shades! It was literally just a lightbulb out in the open! We laughed about and decided not to say anything because they were extremely rude at the desk towards us already. We needed extra towels for our showers and a pillow, and that was an issue that we were given attitude over as well. I definitely don’t recommend this location if you are handicapped and are traveling with mobility issues because your accommodation will not be taken seriously. Also, don’t stay here if you need any help from the front desk because they will just be rude and give you attitude any time you approach them. The rooms weren’t even that clean to act like they have the best hotel in the area.

This was our first visit to this particular Hampton. It is located right along the Susquehanna River, so it has a good view from the patio and some of the rooms. Our check-in experience was fast and friendly, and we had a nice clean comfortable room. The shower pressure was poor (3rd floor). Breakfast was good. We had a room overlooking the river (which I think costs more), but there was a tree blocking our view! I inquired about this at check-out, and was told that "(they) had no control over what nature does over the seasons"! Overall we had a good stay, and would stay there again.

Hotel is Nice and clean. Room were in good condition. Enjoyed breakfast and stay here. Nice and welcoming staff. Good location. Revier flowing right beside this hotel. Coffee maker and refrigerator inside room.

I want to start by saying this Hampton inn is a poor reflection of how great this room could have been. Poorly maintained facility with uncut grass and lots of garbage in the grass. During my stay I saw the front desk tell another Hotel patron that their dogs are going to be sent to animal control if they don't find another place to stay. This is a pet friendly hotel in fact I had my dog with me over the week long stay. I was absolutely shocked at how they dealt with this I overheard they had 3 days booked and with this being a pet friendly hotel maybe they should have offered a different room for the people Complaining. Unfortunately that was not the only issue of my stay. When I first arrived on Tuesday night late the last at the front desk was not nice at all and claimed that my hotel room wasn't going to be available because I booked through a third party vendor. I let her know that I contacted the hotel directly after booking to confirm my room and had to show her my room booking to confirm the study that I had booked for my stay. There was no reason for her to be nasty to snappy to at all as I greeted her with a hello. On the walls of the hotel and in the room it says all you have to do is ask for your room to be serviced with towels or a regular service. I called on Thursday and asked for a service and was told they are gone for the day and since it's the weekend I get will not service my room. I was confused because this is the first time I have ever had to ask for service let alone be told no. I then the next day had to go to the front desk and request a service a second time Also items in the room were broken and "on the to do list"- could not hang up my clothes for the wedding I was in town for. Overall I feel this whole experience deserves a one star and I will be warning others to stay away when visiting the town I grew up in. Beautiful area though many great places to visit in the area.
